On Saturday, I completed a really good short book. It would probably take a good reader on evening to read. It has 112 pages and probably should take about 3 1/2 hrs to read. I on the other hand was receiving such good things out of the book that it took me a couple days to read it. I would read and re-read sections. It also helped in the preparation of a couple sermons. That is always a good thing when you get sermon material from a book. It shows that there was some good content in the book. I'm going to include the intro to the book in my review for your reading pleasure.
We've all seen people pay terrific consequences for decisions made while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. What a waste! A lifetime of suffering may be the result of a mistake made while judgement was impaired. Everyone can see the folly.
What about born again Christians who make unwise choices? Sometimes whole families are affected, with tragic results. How does it happen? What are they thinking?
We all have the ability to think and reason. How can you know that your reasoning is correct? At one time or another we have all had misconceptions, or wrong impressions. All of us have come to wrong conclusions about something or someone. Sometimes errors in judgement are carried in the mind for years; sometimes they are never corrected. When it comes to spiritual matters, misconceptions can be very dangerous. How can we be sure we're thinking right?
Protect yourself from spiritual deception and discover what can rob you of wisdom and impair your judgement. Learn how to give your children sound reasoning abilities. A willing mind presents Bible steps to wisdom and the ability to think right.
Areas covered in this book are:
Wisdom, Your Influence, The Fear of the Lord, Saul, The Word of God, Teach the Word, Prayer, Forgiveness, & Loving the Truth.
I would recommend this book to men and women alike. I do believe that maybe portions of the book are written from a woman's perspective, but are still yet principles in this book that are good to live your life by. This book can be ordered through the Pentecostal Publishing House. Enjoy.
