#BOTT11 - Because of the Times 2011 ~ Formed Update 1

Well, Because of the Times 2011 is underway.  You can follow the twitters of everyone at the conference under the heading #BOTT11.  If you don't know what that means find a twit head and ask them.  I wanted to blog a bit for those who may be fasting Face Book and/or Twitter.

This is my first BOTT Conference.  I am already impressed by the great anointing that flowed in the house last night.  Bro. David Bernard preached a vision casting message to the church that we have to continue to walk in the old paths of doctrine, but it's okay and God's desire for us to search out new paths for methods and delivery.  If we don't the age we are living in will pass us by.  God has a great message to be presented to the world as we know it, but sometimes our methods don't match our culture.  Great message and thought Bro. Bernard.  We love you and appreciate all your doing to make the United Pentecostal Church, International positioned for the culture we live in today.

Then Senior Pastor of The Pentecostals of Alexandria, Anthony Mangun knocked it out of the ball park as he preached to us about breaking things in our life; pride, bitterness, hurts, etc.  And putting on new things like prayer, fasting, preaching the Word of God to a lost world.  We all have been wounded.  We all have been hurt, but the bible states that when he was slain he received power, riches, honor, etc.  The only way that you are going to receive these things yourself is to be beat up and slain by this world.  It's time that we get our eyes off of what we are dealing with and repent for the thoughts and feelings we have toward everything an everyone and get focused upon the world around us that needs the Gospel message.  He preached that's where God's eyes are at.

I know that I didn't do it justice by recapping the service.  However, I'm looking forward to this mornings session.  Bro. Terry Shock and Bro. Bruce Howell will be preaching this morning.  I will try to blog details on this service this afternoon.  BTW, Awesome Music.  The POA goes all out to make you feel welcome and blessed to be here.  God bless you Pastor Mangun and God bless you POA.

Humbly Submitted,
Pastor Reynolds
