An obstacle is defined as something standing in our way of reaching that thing that we want. I have thought about some of the obstacles that faced me in my life. Well, My parents were divorced when I was in the 4th grade, I was not born into a rich family, and my family is dysfunctional. On and on we can find things that exist in our life or in our past that may keep us from obtaining the spiritual growth in the Lord that we need. One day I was reading in Matthew Chapter 1 and I began to notice some names there and the Holy Ghost began to talk to me about obstacles. You see in Jesus' Genealogy we find some shading people. First there is Jacob; He was a cheater, A dirty rotten double crosser, Then David; an adulterous and murder. You find also find Judah he was born into a relationship between Jacob and Leah. Could you imagine being born into a relationship where you know your parents didn't love each other? The very birth of Jesus could have been a stumbling block or obstacle for anyone to over come. Can you hear the comments spoken around town, Joseph are you sure that kid is yours? However, no matter what things rested in Jesus past he knew that the God of all eternity had a plan for his life. You and I told are a part of God's plan also. God wants to use you and me to further the kingdom, but we must allow God to help us work through the obstacles that are in our lives. You or a family member may have been in jail. You may have stepped out of your relationship with your mate, but rest assured God can forgive and when he forgives he forgets. God wants to help you get through the obstacles in your life, so He can use you. We pray that you consider coming this Sunday to Silver Street Pentecostal Church, Where we have what you need.
Respectfully Submitted,
