Book Review: The Bait of Satan

On several attempts I have tried to read this book. It is a book that every person in America should read. It is a hard book to read especially, if you read it in the spirit it was written in. You should not ready this book with the outlook of looking to see who this book is talking about, but reminding yourself this book is examining your own life. This was the hardest part of reading this book. It brought up a lot of feelings of people who have wounded me through the years. Being in the ministry I have been wounded deeply many times by people who claim to love and appreciate me and my ministry. I think ministry can be exposed to this bait of Satan more so than any other group of people. I have met many on the road of ministry that have allowed this bait to affect their lives and future relationship because they are unable to release all bitterness and malice that has creeped in because of the offences gained. Again I wish I could buy a copy of this book for everyone I know and force them to read it. We are missing out on so much in live because we have allowed Satan to bait us and we are in his trap and he is sitting back enjoying what he has done. I have allowed the Joy of the Lord to be taken from me many times because of offences people have done toward me. I have also watched those that I have ministered to through the years experience the same thing. I know the hardest thing about the spiders web is to let go of it. You try, but it keeps stilling to you. If is time that we lay the offenses of our past at the feet of Jesus and forgive those who have offended us and allow us to get on to the dreams that we have of doing great things for God. John Bevere is an excellent writer and had gotten to the core of many things in my life through this book. Am I cured, No, but I strive to allow this book to help me lay down all the offenses in my own life and I encourage you to read this wonderful book and allow God to help you also.

John covers many topics in his book dealing with this bait of Satan, Offense.

1. Me, Offended?
2. Massive Offense
3. How Could This Happy To Me?
4. My Father, My Father!
5. How Spiritual Vagabonds Are Born
6. Hiding From Reality
7. The Sure Foundation
8. All That Can Be Shaken Will Be Shaken
9. The Rock of Offense
10. Lest We Offend Them
11. Forgiveness: You Don't Give - You Don't Get
12. Revenge: The Trap
13. Escaping the Trap
14. Objective:L Reconciliation

Then as his book comes to a close he asks those who are reading it to take action on what God has revealed to them through the reading of this book. I encourage you to get a copy of this book, buy it, borrow from Library or a friend and just read this book.
