Sis. Vesta Mangun preached about the Legacy of GA Mangun and about Prayer. A house of God w/o a prayer meeting is not a House of God at all. She spoke of their early years together. She spoke of their engagement. The mind and the Heart of God is People. If you love people you can start a church in the mouth of Hell. You gotta love a messed up world or you won't have anyone to win.
It's time to give up your life for a life of prayer. It doesn't matter how long you've had the Holy Ghost - You need to pray through. God's gonna lift you from the fatigue of despair. The best is yet to come. I'm tying a knot in the rope and I'm having on. People are waiting for you. Prayer will lead you to the mind of Christ & the Mind of Christ will lead you to prayer. Sis. Mangun talked about her first message in Alexandria and 5 people received the Holy Ghost. If not here, Where?
Somebodies gonna cry out. I have changed my prayer life into the life of prayer. If you pray, fast, work in the altars, pay you tithes, & be mission minded you'll never backslide.
Then Bro. Anthony Mangun exhorts for a minute to follow up after his mother preached.
Then there was a Forum with Bro. Dillon, Bro Hannibaugh, Bro. Carney, Bro Anthony, & Bro. Jeff.
Bro Dillion shares that he is a product of the kind of atmosphere that Sis. Mangun preached about. We have because Aquarium Keepers instead of Fisher's of Men. He who touches the heart of God will see the hand of God. Our base is shrinking because we have neglected home.
Bro. Hannibaugh (Miami) - Feels that their ministry has been effecting in reaching out and ministering to Missionary Kids. They have also been blessed to reach out to the nation of Brazil. His church has ministered to the Homeless through Homeless Shelters. He serves the Miami area as a Police Chaplain. They are involved in Angel Food Ministries. He stated, "Jesus died for the world and I want to affect it." They have established a prayer ring for missionary kids.
Bro. Carney (Woodlawn, MS) - Their tag line for their church is - REDISCOVER. Their emphasis is to let the county and town where they reside to know what Pentecostal Churches are all about. The discovered they were not living out the Matthew 25 ministry in their local church. He stated, "Your name will be what you have." Luke 5 states that people were tired, but decided to launch out into the deep. One Sunday Night per month they cancel Services to do public activities to minister to the community at large. They have a ministry that ministers to Cancer Patients. The celebrate Teacher's Appreciation Day. They offer a Re-Discovery Village a ministry to Single Moms w/ Small kids (18 units). He stated, "We are fishers of men not hunters of men." The bait is Love. Their church went from 400 members in 2007 to over 650 members in 2010. Praise be to God. Be the hands and feet of Christ.
Bro. Anthony Mangun (Alexandria, LA) - He discussed about Sis Vesta Mangun and Sis Clara knocking the doors of 400 homes & never got anyone from that, but God sent them b/c of their sacrifice. When doing the work of God don't match your dollars to souls. A few Sundays ago the POA began to commission Bible Study Teachers and sent 150 into service again.
Bro Jef (POA) - The ministries in which POA is involved through Matthew 25 ministries is; 30-40 people feeding the Hungry, Health Checks, working in food banks, Visiting orphans and infirmed, Working with Disable people, Taking care of widows, Pure and Undefiled religion. In 2010, the church gave away $10,000 in gift card to missionary kids, their grandparent program participants, and the Tuepelo Children's Mansion. The collected over 4 tons of rice to be sent over seas in the month of December. Over 200 under privileged children received multiple Christmas Gifts. The church fed over 900 people in December. They helped and fed over 100 homeless people. what you do after people are saved is as important as getting them saved, he notes. You can't ask people to get rid of things unless you are ready to give them something to replace it.
Bro Darrell Johns (Atlanta, GA) - talked about homeless ministry using a Baptist Church to do it and leading to the baptism of the pastor and his wife.
The service transitioned with a skit from Bunch and Breeze.
Then the POA music department led us into worship before Bro. Huntly preached.
Bro. Wayne Huntley preached about the Dream. He recognized, Faces, Forces, and Factor who have impacted his life. His wife (Patsy), Pastor Jessie Williams, Pastor Wayne McClain, Pastor Phillips, Sis Vesta Mangun, Pastor Anthony Mangun, Pastor Jack Yonts, Bro.& Sis. Tenney, and the members of the United Pentecostal Church, International.
Daniel 2:1-6; 2:13-16
Without a dream everything we attempt to do will be sentenced to death. there are no interpretations of dreams not dreamed. There's no greater startling thing than t realize the Dream is gone. Ministries are defined by the Dream. If they are gonna get up He believes that every body who gets up on Sunday Morning for Church should be coming to his church. were there is no vision the people perish that sinner and saint alike. The church in Raliegh, NC went to 100 members in 6 months and 300 members in 3 years. Praise be to God. Preacher, if you get fired up they get fired up. It's not gonna happen for Joe Cool & Freddy Freeze. Out of a Dream will come an outstanding dedication. You gotta have a Dream. "GET A DREAM!" People will rob you of your Dream, if you are not careful. You can have people pray through elsewhere and it won't feel as good when it happens anywhere else. More money isn't always the will of God. I'd rather be dollar less than dreamless. Praise be to God.
The service ended with an awesome altar call as men received their dream back. More to come for Thursday Evening Service. God bless.
